AdClub Coimbatore and Sri Krishna Institutions organise mass Voter Awareness campaign
Close on the heels of the Parliamentary Election happening on the April 19th, Coimbatore a much sought after constituency is all set to see a new face represent them. AdClub Coimbatore along with Sri Krishna Institutions created a mass voter awareness signature campaign as the District Administration is also looking to make it past the national average and create a record of sorts.
The event was organised by AdClub and Sri Krishna Institutions and The Hindu as the Media Partner t the Race Course area.
The event saw the active participation of Ms. Sweta Suman, Additional Collector (Development) of Coimbatore District, Smt. S. Malarvizhi, Chairperson of Sri Krishna Institutions participating alongside Mr. Rajesh, President of AdClub, Dr. Sadhasivam, The Secretary of AdClub Coimbatore and Mr. Shivakumar of The Hindu.
Ms Sweta Suman, in her speech emphasised the importance of civic responsibility for first-time voters and said that Govt has given a full holiday to actually enable people to vote on that day. This is an important duty for every citizen.
Smt S Malarvizhi, Chairperson Sri Krishna Institutions in her speech extolled all the young voters especially the first time voters to make this decisive vote.
The event also saw everyone pledge to make this a historic occasion and also sign up on the poster to vote on the April 19th.
The event also saw a skit meme by the students of Sri Krishna Institutions which cautioned the people on the wasting every single vote meanwhile framing of the whole concept what’s the big deal if one single vote is not cast!
The posters and creatives for the campaign were designed by the ad agencies of Coimbatore to increase up the voting percentage this time.
Earlier Mr. Rajesh in his welcome address said that this was an spontaneous act from everyone concerned and all the agencies came up with creatives within a short span of time to educate the voters.
Mr. Sadhasivam delivered the Vote of Thanks and Mr. Shivakumar coordinated the event.
