Adavan from Suguna to represent India at SABA under 16 qualifiers
Adavan Chellam Kumaresan of Suguna School, Coimbatore has been selected to represent the Indian Basketball team in the Under 16yrs category in the SABA qualifiers to be held in Srilanka. SABA is the South Asian Basketball Association
The FIBA U16 Asian Championship 2023 SABA Qualifiers is scheduled to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 28th– 31st August 2023.
Adavan’s Coach at Suguna Mr. Alwyn said “This is a happy and proud moment for me and the school that Adavan has been selected and I am sure this cherishable moment would continue with some fine performance from his end. It was all his hardwork that has paid off and thank the Almighty for his blessings.”
The Teams participating in the FIBA U16 Asian Championship 2023 SABA Qualifiers is Maldives, Sri Lanka and India.

India take on Maldives on the 29th of August, 2023, thereafter on the 30th of August 2023 India play Sri Lanka.
The finals are scheduled to take place on the 31st of August 2023.Two teams from SABA Sub-Zone will qualify for the FIBA U16 AsianChampionship 2023 scheduled to be held at Doha, Qatar from 17th– 24th September 2023.
