Ajith Kumar makes history at Dubai 24H race, the fans celebrate!
Ajith Kumar, the renowned Indian actor and racing enthusiast, participated in the 20th edition of the Michelin 24H Dubai endurance race held on January 12, 2025. Representing his newly formed team, Ajith Kumar Racing, he competed in the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup category.
During a practice session prior to the race, Ajith Kumar experienced a crash that led to significant damage to his vehicle. Fortunately, he was unharmed. In light of this incident, Ajith made the decision to step back from driving for his own team in the upcoming race. Instead, he took on a dual role: serving as the owner of Ajith Kumar Racing by Bas Koeten in the Porsche 992 Cup Car (Number 901) and competing as a driver for Ajith Kumar Racing by Razoon in the Porsche Cayman GT4 (Number 414).
In the race, Ajith Kumar’s team achieved commendable results:
- Third Place in the 991 Category: Ajith Kumar Racing by Bas Koeten secured third place in the 991 category.
- Spirit of the Race Award in the GT4 Category: Ajith Kumar received the Spirit of the Race recognition in the GT4 category.
This impressive feat was officially announced by Ajith’s manager on X (formerly Twitter). The tweet read, “Double whammy for Ajith Kumar: 3rd place in the 991 category and Spirit of the race in the GT4 category. What a remarkable comeback after an accident due to a brake failure.”
Fellow actor R Madhavan, who was present at the venue, expressed his pride in Ajith’s outstanding performance, referring to him as “the one and only.”
Ajith’s family, including his wife Shalini and their children, Anoushka and Aadvik, were also present at the venue to support him.
This victory serves as a significant boost for both Ajith Kumar and his fans, especially following his recent accident during training.
