AJK CAS launches a first of its kind B.Sc in AR/VR also opens an AR/VR experience centre
AJK College of Arts & Sciences today unveiled a first of its kind three year B.Sc in AR/VR Argumentative Reality / Virtual Reality course. In keeping with the latest trends and also getting the students updated on the programming side of AR/VR, the course aims to develop real AR VR developers for the industry. The Secretary of the AJK Institutions, Dr. Prof. Ajeet Lal Mohan said, ‘The curriculum has been designed with the help of the industry, and we AJK have the distinct record of creating courses that are aligned with industry expectations and also job worthy. In making this effort, we have showcased our web presence as a AR featured website perhaps setting the standards being the first in the country to do so in the academic domain. ”
He was speaking at the inauguration of the course and the opening of AR/VR Experience Center at the College. He recalled that AJK CAS was always a pioneer when it came to introducing career oriented Bachelors program right from AI / DS for Arts and Science colleges to BBA in Aviation to Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Mr. Vendhan E, Manager Cyber Risk Advisory, Deloitte, Mrs. Priyadharshini Karthik Ram, Security Manager, and Mr. Karunakaran Nagarajan, Manager HR, Deloitte, were the Chief Guest and Special Guest and Guest of Honour.
During his speech, the Chief Guest Mr. Vendhan E, Manager Cyber Risk Advisory, Deloitte said that there is ample opportunity available for AR/VR professional especially like health and defence apart from the most known games part that students are already into.
Earlier, Prof Dr. S Raju, Principal. AJK College of Arts & Sciences, welcomed the gathering.
