AJK College of Arts and Science celebrates International Chef Day “Dessert Duel”

On October 18, 2024, the Catering Science and Hotel Management Department of AJK College of Arts and Science celebrated International Chef Day with an engaging event titled “Dessert Duel.” The program featured an Inaugural speech by Dr. S. Raju, Principal who emphasized the importance of culinary arts in education.

The chief guest of this programme was Chef Mohammed Sameem, Executive Chef of Residency Towers, Coimbatore.  In his inspiring address, Chef Sameem shared three essential rules for success: treat others as you wish to be treated, greet others before they greet you, and always keep thinking even while you sleep.

The event continued with an interdepartmental sweet cooking competition, where students from various departments showcased their culinary skills by preparing a delightful array of sweets, including Bread custard, Carrot delight, Arabian pudding, Bread balls and Ukkarai.

Prof. Dr.Ajeet Kumar Lal Mohan, Secretary of AJK College of Arts and Science distributed the Cash prize and certificates to the winners. The program successfully highlighted the creativity and talent of the students, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and culinary excellence.
