Urban local body elections in Coimbatore have intensified. Candidates contesting the election were busy filing nominations. In turn, only the wagons came on horseback and petitioned.

In this situation, on the last day for filing nominations, Noor Mohammad, an independent candidate for the southern constituency of Coimbatore in the Kuniyamuthur area, came to file his nomination in the guise of a king.

In this regard, he said, I came in this guise to instruct that everyone is the king of this country and that everyone should live like king.

Similarly, Rajasekar, an animal welfare activist contesting for the office in the 95th Ward as an independent candidate, brought with him disguised leaders of Netaji, Ambedkar, Kamaraj and Anna and filed his nomination papers. Rajasekar said that he had come to bring the policies of the leaders to the notice of the public.
