Auto-captions for long-awaited videos on Twitter are now in use. This new update is available for iOS, Android and Web from Dec 15, 2021. Automatic header feature currently has 37 languages.
Auto-Captions will be displayed in the language of the device that first uploaded the videos. Auto-Captions appear on MUTE videos on both iOS and Android. Desktop users can turn Auto-Captions feature on and off. It is said that this new update will be of great benefit to users with hearing impairment.
The Twitter Company announced about this new update. The company has confirmed that automatic subtitles for videos will be available to all users on Android, iOS and the Internet. With the new update, Twitter users will be able to see the captions appear automatically when they watch a muted video on their mobile. Auto-Captions are now available in more than 30 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, English, German, Hindi, and Tamil.
