Award Ceremony 2022 at PSG College of Technology
The Award Ceremony 2022 for Electrical and Allied Engineering Programmes (UG and PG of the departments of BME, CSE, EEE, ECE, IT, I & CE and RAE) was held today at 5.00 PM at the College Quadrangle.
Mr. Shrivallabha G Kulkarni, Senior General Manager and Head of Product Development IT, Automotive and Farm Equipment’s Sectors, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd., Chennai was the chief guest and delivered the award ceremony address to the graduating students.
Dr. K. Prakasan, Principal, PSG College of Technology presided over the function. A total of 816 students received their certificates in the ceremony, each branch topper was honored with a gold medal.
The Principal in his address dwelt at length on the record of PSG Tech and also how the college is in the midst of all the best rankings in the country. He also said the placement numbers has not been affected due to Covid and the highest salary was at 57 lacs pa.
The Chief Guest during his award ceremony address delved deep into the digital era that is awaiting us and with his background of IoT and Digital Manufacturing showcased how the Covid pandemic was used well in getting the work done ahead of schedule with digital technologies. He gave a lot of impetus on what’s in store with automobiles being a storehouse of data and how that would be big challenge for the graduates to work on in the coming days. On the personal front he urged the students to be ethically conscious so they leave a great path for others to follow.

Mr. Shrivallabha G Kulkarni graduated from Karnataka University with specialization in Mechanical Engineering and later pursued Executive MBA from S P Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR). He has 29+ years of in –depth experience and responsible for end to end Digital Product Development IT portfolio for both Automotive and Farm Sectors with a focus on creating sustainable IT solutions and processes for the future. He manages technology solution in the areas if CAD, CAM, CAE, PLM, Knowledge Based Engineering, Digital Manufacturing, Engineering Analytics, Virtual Reality, Global Collaboration connected to IoT solutions, EV and Integrations.
