BCCI confirmed the dates for IPL 2022 Auction
The mega bid for the IPL 2022 series is getting bigger day by day. Statistics show that more than 1000 players will be in the IPL 2022 mega auction.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction is set to take place on February 12 and 13 and the last date to register for the auction is said to be January 17. It has also been reported that the auction will be held in Bangalore.
So far 27 players have been retained from 8 teams like Chennai, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Although 1000 players have registered for this auction, only 250 will be eligible for the final bid.
The BCCI’s official information on this is expected to be released soon. Auction dates are currently being discussed with each team owner. Earlier, it was widely rumored that the auction would take place on February 7 and 8.
If the Covid-19 infection does not worsen, the IPL mega auction will be held in Bangalore as planned for two days, BCCI sources said. The Lucknow team recently appointed former Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir as its advisor. The two new teams are competing to get several leading players on their team.
