Bureau of Indian Standards celebrated its 77th Foundation Day at Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore on Tuesday.
C. A. Vasuki, Secretary and Director of Kongunadu Arts and Science College, during her presidential addressed expressed her joy in celebrating the Golden Jubilee Year of the college and conveyed her gratitude to the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for selecting the institution to host this significant event.
The Chief Guest, V. Gopinath, Scientist ‘G’ / Head, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Government of India, Coimbatore Branch Office during his speech spoke about the quality and role of BIS, and he invited the youth to imbibe values in their life and to take the country to a greater height without compromising in its standard.

An expo has also been organised alongside for the two days. More than 1000 students from schools and colleges of various districts visited the Expo and Poster, Quiz, & Extempore competitions held at the sidelines of the event. The expo will be open till 10th of Jan at the college premises.
