Bus service to Kerala starts after 21 months

The curfew was imposed in March last year due to the spread of the corona.

As a result, bus services from Pollachi to Kerala were suspended from the 21st of that month. Later, the curfew was relaxed and bus services resumed but buses to Kerala did not operate. Buses operated from here to Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

After 21 months in this condition, the bus service to Kerala started yesterday. Tamil Nadu-Kerala government buses and private buses ply from Pollachi New Bus Stand to Palakkad, Thrissur, Guruvayur, and Dattamangalam in Kerala.

Authorities subsequently inspected the buses and advised them to follow corona prevention measures. State Transport Corporation officials said: There are 10 government buses from Pollachi to Kerala and 10 Kerala state buses from there to Pollachi. Of the 3 private buses plying from Pollachi to Kerala, only one is currently operating.

The driver, conductor, and passengers must wear masks. Social spacing on buses must be observed. Passengers on the bus should report any problems such as colds, coughs, and flu immediately. Corona safety procedures must be followed properly. Violators will be prosecuted. Thus they said.
