Coimbatore Book Festival to kick off on 21st July

Mr. B.Vijay Anand – Vice Chairman Coimbatore Book Festival 2017, S. Soundararajan Chairman CBF , V.Sundaram President Codissia , D. Balasundram Chairman-Literature Fest, A. Kumar Secretary Codissia addressed the press and released an invite book containing the ten day events of the Book Festival.

The Coimbatore Book Festival (CBF 2017) will be held between July 21st and 30th at the CODISSIA Fair Complex. This is the third edition of the Book Festival being held under the aegis of Book Publishers Association of SOuth India BAPASI.

There will be 256 stalls, and over 176 publishers across Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and English language titles for the readers. There are publishers from across the country taking part from Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala apart from Tamil Nadu. The Inaugural will be held on the 21st of July, Sri Baldev Pai Sharma will preside and inaugurate the event. CODISSIA is proud to confer the Life Time Achievement Award to writer and poet Jaya Mohan during the event.

There are several events organised concurrently for students and even entrepreneurs. There will be a new initiative to form libraries at workplaces too.

Last year around 60,000 people visited the fair and the turnover was around 2.5 crores.
