Collector inaugurated photo exhibition in Coimbatore

Coimbatore District Collector Dr Sameeran inaugurated the photo exhibition in Coimbatore which is organised on behalf of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The ministry is organising a photo exhibition to mark the 75th Independence Day.

Coimbatore District Collector Dr GS Sameeran inaugurated the photo exhibition held at the CODISSIA premises in Coimbatore on Wednesday. Annadurai, Additional Director General, Zonal Public Relations Office and Press Relations Office was the special guest.

The exhibition featured rare photographs of the Indian freedom struggle and photographs of freedom fighters. On the first day of the programme, the school and college students performed Silambam, Karakattam and Bharatanatyam.

District Collector opened the statue of Mahatma Gandhi on this occasion.
