Cycling championship held in Coimbatore

A state-level cycling championship, Tamil Nadu MDP championship, was jointly organized by Tamil Nadu cycling association and Coimbatore district cycling association at Kovaipudur in the city. Over 100 players from several districts including Chennai, Salem, Nilgiris, Theni and Thoothukudi participated in the tournament under age groups 12, 14, 16 and 18, and off-road categories for both men and women.

The city deputy mayor Vetriselvan flagged off the competition under men 18 years old category. Five lapses were set up in each race. Winners of the competition will be selected for national-level competition.
