Disaster Recovery Reharsal ahead of Northeast Monsoon held in Coimbatore

As a precautionary measure in view of the northeast monsoon, a disaster recovery drill was held at Coimbatore’s Kurichi Pond this morning. The training event was conducted on behalf of Coimbatore Fire Station under the leadership of Assistant District Fire Officer Alagarsamy.

The fire department personnel carried out training in the Kurichi pond, including rescuing people trapped in rain floods. Rehearsals such as carrying out rescue operations using the equipment available in the fire department and rescuing people in heavy floods were also carried out.
