Governments in Israel and Germany have announced the release of a fourth booster vaccine to protect people from the onslaught of the Omigron virus, a variant of the corona virus that has plagued them. The UK is also considering a fourth booster vaccine as the virus continues to spread in the UK.

German Health Minister Karl Lauderbach says people can fight the Omicran virus only if they get a fourth booster vaccine. The country has ordered millions of Omicron vaccines from Bioendech. However, delivery is not expected to take place until April or May.

The Moderna vaccine is currently used in the booster marketing campaign, and Germany has ordered 4 million doses of the Novavax vaccine and 11 million Valvena, which are set to be marketed soon.

According to a report by Germany last Wednesday, 45,659 people have been infected with the new corona virus. The death toll rose to 510, down 5,642 from a week earlier. Following the guidance of Germany and Israel, the Vaccine and Immunization Commission (JCVI) is also considering releasing a second set of boosters.
