Most of us try to live healthier lives, but we dont always know how. That’s why health education is so important.
Since 1995, the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) has celebrated National Health Education Week ( NHEW) during the third week of October (18 – 22).
NHEW is focused on increasing national awareness of major public health issues and promoting a better understanding of the role of health education.
Learning about the causes and effects of public health problems can help reduce lasting harm and promote health equity. It is more than just learning about proper diet and exercise. It addresses physical, mental and emotional well being.
Being healthy should be a part of our overall lifestyle. Feeling good and taking care of your health are important for your self-esteem and self image. Maintain a healthy lifestyle by doing what is right for your body.
