Hyundai India questions statement after social media post on Kashmir boosts up row

Hyundai, Kashmir, Twitter

Carmaker Hyundai received recoil from Indians after the company’s Pakistan unit shared cohesion messages on social media over Kashmir.

The company’s India unit shared a declaration, highlighting its “zero-tolerance policy towards insensitive communication”.

On February 5, Hyundai Pakistan’s social media handles shared posts in solidarity with the “Kashmiri brothers” in their “struggle for freedom”. Pakistan observes February 5 as ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’ to show its support for the nationalist movement in Kashmir. The social media posts were later removed.
