i-Robochakra Concludes Sarvavidya Fest 2024: A Celebration of Robotics and Innovation

Sarvavidya Fest 2024, the national-level robotics and innovation competition organized by i-Robochakra, concluded on a high note, celebrating the creative and technical abilities of students from across the country. The event, hosted in collaboration with prestigious educational institutions, brought together over 900 young participants and industry experts to foster a spirit of innovation.

This year’s Sarvavidya Fest included two major competitions:

  1. Robotic Championship, divided into three categories:
    • Robotic Football (Grades 3-4)
    • Robot Strategy Game (Grades 5-6)
    • Robo Golf (Grades 7-9)
  2. Innovators Exhibition, featuring Arduino-based projects by students from Grades 6-8. The projects addressed real-world challenges such as food waste reduction, smart farming, and recycling, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and topics on India’s space advancements.

Prelims – Talent Unveiled Across Cities

The preliminary rounds were held in:

  • Erode (October 22nd) at Hindusthan College of Science & Commerce
  • Salem (November 7th) at Dhirajlal Gandhi College of Technology, featuring over 200 participants. The event was graced by R. Senthil, Former Deputy Director (MSA), ISRO SDSC SHAR and Archana Manojkumar, Secretary of Dhirajlal Gandhi College of Technology.
  • Coimbatore (November 12th) at Hindusthan College of Arts and Science, which attracted a record-breaking 700+ students. Distinguished guests included K. Kadirvelu, Scientist G, DEBEL, DRDO, Balakumar Thangavelu, India Head, Outreach and CSR, Cognizant and Ashwin Balasubramaniam, COO, Brookefields

15 top teams from each cities advanced to the Grand Finale, making up a total of 45 teams competing for the top honours.

Grand Finale – Celebrating Excellence in Robotics

The Grand Finale took place on November 13th at Hindusthan College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, bringing together the best teams from Erode, Salem, and Coimbatore. The event was honored by the presence of B.A. Subramani, Former Space Environmental Simulation Engineer, URSC, ISRO, V. Sreekumar, Section Head, Spacecraft Power Systems, UR Rao Satellite Centre, ISRO, and  Priya Satish Prabhu, Secretary, Hindusthan Educational Institutions

The finalists showcased outstanding creativity and technical skills across three categories, with winners receiving cash prizes, trophies, and certificates.

  • 3rd Prize (₹2,000): Ahilan, Arun Balaji, Rupesh, Sreenalla Siva, Sri Ramakrishna Central CBSE School, Coimbatore
