Inauguration of Sarabhai Kalam Theater at Kumaraguru Institutions

Dr. Y S Rajan, Former Scientific Secretary ISRO, Former Chairman BOG, NIT Manipur during his speech appreciated the Kumaraguru management for inaugurating a state-of-the-art auditorium in the campus, Dr Rajan said that that the facility should not be restricted to an ordinary auditorium, but it should become a global hub.
He also added, ‘The facility can play host of people and experts from various industries to create new projects. The theatre should have discussion to develop advanced technology for agriculture. It should become Supply Chain to high tech industries. The space should have discussion creating Nuclear Power Source (NPS) in the country which will greatly help our space exploration programs.’
Saying that over 15 Crore population is getting older in the country and Geriatrics is one of the promising fields and the space can be utilised to discuss on bringing in innovative solutions to the problems faced by the elderly population.
Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma AC (Retd) Senior Member of Gaganyaan Advisory Panel said: ‘I had the opportunity to work with former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in the Light Combat Aircraft – Tejas for about 6 years. Like how Mahatma Gandhi said that his life is his message. He attained great hights due to his belief system. All the efforts of Dr Kalam were directed towards nation building,’
He also added that there was dilution of the societal norms and individual value system which were intrinsic to our Indianness. We were not particular about recalibrating ourselves and after 7 decades since independence, we have reached at this point despite a steady erosion of the value systems.
He asked students to resolve the conflict in their minds as to what constitutes to success. He asked to redefine success itself in that context. Are you seeking just financial wealth or are you seeking professional fulfilment. Does success mean be professionally fulfilled.
