Introducing low cost TATA CNG cars
Tata Motors has launched the CNG variants of Tiago and Tigor’s preferred cars in India. Of these, the initial ex-showroom price of the Tata Diego iCNG is Rs 6.10 lakh, while the top model is priced at Rs 7.53 lakh.
Tata Tigor iCNG ex-showroom prices range from Rs 7.70 lakh to Rs 8.30 lakh. Tata Tiago iCNG is available in four variants XE, XM, XT and XZ +, while Tigor iCNG is only available in XZ and XZ +.
TATA Motors has provided iCNG technology for both the new cars and their weight is 100 kg more than the standard model. Both cars are excellent in terms of ground clearance and are given 168mm and 165mm ground clearance respectively.
The company has provided a number of features in these two cars, including many new features. These include rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, premium black and beige interiors. All these new features are available in Tigor iCNG’s XZ Plus model. All features of the Tiago iCNG are present in the current model.
At both the Tata Tiago ICNG and Tata Tigor ICNG, the company offers the same 1.2-liter Revtron petrol engine that produces 72 bhp of power and 95 Nm of peak torque. The company has provided a 5-speed manual gearbox for this engine.
The suspension of both cars has also been retuned. The car’s top models will feature a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, JBL-Harmon sound system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, smartphone connectivity and an adjustable driver’s seat.
