If sources are to be believed, Rahul Sharad Dravid, the insurmountable Wall, is all set to be the next coach of the Indian National Cricket team. Ravi Shastri’s coaching tenure ends with the T20 World Cup in UAE.
Dravid, who is currently heading the National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru, is all set to fill in the shoes as India’s head coach. Despite various dispensations, BCCI for the last 6 years had found it hard to enrol the Wall. However, Sourav Ganguly and Jay Shah have turned the tables this time around. After several talks, the duo managed to get an affirmative reply from the stalwart during the final of IPL 2021.
Dravid is credited with coaching the Under 19 and India -A teams which have produced a pool of talents, some of whom now play for India.
All things will come into the limelight when the BCCI officially invites applications for the post of the head coach next month.
