KCLAS to Train CRPF Personnel on Management and Leadership

Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science (KCLAS) Coimbatore signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Central Training College – CRPF, Coimbatore for imparting training for their personnel. This MOU was signed on 17th November 2023 at the CTC- CRPF office and is valid for 3 years.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the largest paramilitary force in India, dedicated to maintaining law and order, counter-insurgency, and ensuring the internal security of the nation.

CRPF is taking a significant stride towards enhancing the professional development of its cadets with a comprehensive training program. The purpose of the MoU was to provide participants with the skills and information required for efficient management and leadership in their positions. The training program is designed in a way to offer necessary skills and knowledge required for a successful and impactful career in service.

Shri. Ajay Bharatan, IGP and Principal of CTC-CRPF and Dr Vijila Edwin Kennedy, Principal, Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science mutually exchanged the MOU and the faculty of KCLAS   and CRPF trainee cadets have witnessed the event. Dr N Balu, Deputy Dean, coordinated the Training program along with Dr Jayanthi from the School of Management.

Shri Ajay Bharatan, Inspector General and Principal of CTC-CRPF, Coimbatore said this MoU is a testimonial for Private-Public cooperation in the Nation’s Interest. “Today two committed institutions, CRPF and KCLAS of Kumaraguru institutions have come forward to forge a relationship sharing their expertise. We are thankful to the institution,” he said.

The vision of KCLAS is to mold young people to create an impact, said Dr Vijila Kennedy, Principal, KCLAS. “And through this MoU, we are dedicated to equipping young CRPF personnel with the skills needed to safeguard and contribute to the nation’s growth. Our commitment is rooted in the belief that by nurturing and training the next generation, we play a crucial role in shaping a safer and more resilient nation,” she said.

KCLAS has been working with the CRPF for the last one year and it has trained 263 in cadets of various batches. About 20 Faculty professionals from Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science provided the Training under the stewardship of Dr Vijila Edwin Kennedy, Principal, KCLAS.
