KPRIET Partners with the School of Design Thinking
KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the School of Design Thinking under the initiative “Academia NxT“.
This strategic partnership aims to enhance the design thinking skills of KPRIET stakeholders through various programs, encouraging deeper connections in leadership, management, and planning abilities.
The partnership will introduce a series of workshops, training sessions, and interactive modules designed to cultivate a holistic approach to problem-solving. These programs will cover key aspects of design thinking, including empathy, ideation, prototyping, and testing, allowing students to develop innovative solutions that are both practical and user-centric.
Dr. D. Saravanan, Principal, KPRIET, emphasized the significance of this collaboration. “In engineering, we primarily focus on computational and logical thinking to solve problems. However, incorporating design thinking will enable us to provide more effective solutions by understanding the needs and intricacies of the problems,” he stated.
