Kumaraguru College of Technology holds 35th Graduation Ceremony

Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT) is held its 35th Graduation Ceremony for the 2022 Batch candidates on Saturday and Sunday (20.1.24 – 21.1.24) at Ramananda Adigalar Auditorium in Kumaraguru Institutions campus.

2040 candidates received the degrees. On the first day, Mr. Rajesh Nambiar, Chairperson of NASSCOM was the Chief Guest.

Mr. M Balasubramaniam, Correspondent,  Kumaraguru Institutions presided. Mr. Shankar Vanavarayar, Joint Correspondent, Kumaraguru Institutions welcomed the gathering.

Dr. D.Saravanan, Principal, KCT presented the annual report.

The Chief Guest, Rajesh Nambiar, during his graduation address said that the future for Indians is looking really good at this point of time. Talking about the unique growth potential for India, the Chief Guest said that the GDP of India will clock roughly 7% by the end of this FY. That’s the highest growth rate for any large economy in the world.

India’s digital infrastructure has become very strong by innovation. 46% of all the fast payments in the world happen in India via UPI. The world is recognising India and its potential. The combination of very young, talented workforce and a vibrant economy are driving the growth potential of the country.

“As a country we have never been in a better place than where we are today,” he said.

According to projections by major analysts, India is most likely to overtake Germany and Japan to become the 3rd largest economy after USA and China by 2030, and this is achievable as we have a strong growth rate.

This growth will be powered by technology, and those who major in this discipline will opportunity to play a significant role. Technology will the backbone for progress across all sectors as they all are going through profound transformation.

At the same time he cautioned that technological expertise alone won’t suffice; as the future belongs to those who know to combine tech with a little bit of creativity, empathy and critical thinking.

He urged the graduates to embrace life long learning, develop a global mindset, and never stop innovating.

Following his address, the degrees certificates were presented to the qualified candidates.
