The artiste had filed a lawsuit seeking to have herself with her partner, Joseph Baby. The Chennai High Court, which heard the case, has ruled that Living Together has no legal right to sue in the Family Welfare Courts.

Only those who are legally married and living can access family courts to obtain legal rights.
