Mock Drill at TNAU on Earthquake Scenario

TNAU in association with 4^th Battalion National Disaster Resource Force, Arakkonam conducted a mock drill on Earthquake Scenario on 05.04.2019 at TNAU campus.

Ms. Rekha Nambiar, Senior Commandant 4^th Battalion, NDRF, Arakkonam in the special addressed emphasised the need to be alert during natural disaster especially during earthquake.

Mr. Rajan Baalu, Deputy Commandant, 4^th Battalion, NDRF, Arakkonam elaborated the rescue operations to be undertaken during a calamity and also demonstrated operations and first aid along with his team.

A live mock drill on rescue measures was conducted by 150 members of NDRF. Rapid Action Force, Tamil Nadu Special Police, Central Reserve Police Force, Tamil Nadu Fire Service, Home Guard, Tamil Nadu Forest Department and Red Cross took part in the mock drill.

Student NCC and NSS volunteers of TNAU were also part of the mock drill.

Dr. N. Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Dr. A.S. Krishnamoorthy, Registrar, Dr. M. Kalyanasundram, Dean (Agri.), Dr. T. Raguchander, Dean, Students Welfare, University Officers, Teaching & Non-teaching staff and around 700 students participated in the event.
