Landsat 9

NASA released images taken by the Landsat 9 satellite. This satellite has taken the first photographs of the Earth. Landsat 9 is a satellite project jointly implemented by NASA and the US Geological Survey (USGS). The satellite was launched on September 27 this year.

These are the photos taken by Landsat on October 31st. These photos will also help people understand how to better manage the earth’s resources and the impact of climate change on the earth. In a statement issued by NASA Administrator Bill Nelson on the satellite, Landsat said the project “proves that power is not only improving lives, but also saving lives.”

The Landsat 9 satellite is more advanced than its predecessor, the Landsat 8. It is worth noting that Landsat 7, which distinguishes only 256 colors, currently has the ability to distinguish colors over 16000 of the given wavelength of Landsat 9.
