The 6th edition of Bi Annual All India Cotton Conference, jointly organised by Indian Cotton Federation – Coimbatore (ICF) and Indian Cotton Association Ltd – Bathinda, (ICAL) was inaugurated in the city at The Residency Towers.
More than 400+ participants belonging to the textile sector, particularly those who deal with cotton including Ginners, Traders, Brokers, Mills etc. from all-over India attended the event.
S.K.Sundararaman, Chairman, SIMA attended this event as the Chief Guest. The Conference’s Chairman, P.Nataraj welcomed the gathering and opined that this National level conference will help the participants to explore the potential of cotton as a sustainable fibre. He underlined that this conference aims to delve into the various dimensions of cotton with emphasis on its sustainable aspects.
” In this era of sustainability and environmental consciousness, the importance of cotton cannot be overstated. The global focus is shifting towards eco-friendly, sustainable practices. Hence it is imperative to harness the potential of cotton to contribute a greener and more sustainable future,” P.Nataraj said.
At the inaugural session, K.G.Baalakrishnan, Chairman of KG Group and S.Manivannan, Chairman of LS Mills Ltd were honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Thulasidharan, President, ICF and Nataraj, the Chairman of the conference honoured presented the awards to the awardees.
Noteable influential personalities Atul P Asher, Ashok D Daga and Gopal Bhuradia were honoured with Business Leader Awards.
