Corona exposure is on the rise again across the country. Corona’s impact is evident in the games as well. Due to Corona’s impact, the world’s largest league matches have been suspended. Several tournaments, including India’s Ranji Trophy, have been suspended due to the Omigran mutation corona virus.
The Ranji Trophy, India’s premier domestic competition, will not start on January 13 due to increasing corona cases in India. A BCCI official told on Tuesday. The first round of the Ranji Trophy was scheduled to start on January 13, but the Omicron Variant has been postponed for the time being.
‘The Ranji Trophy is currently on hold and will not start from January 13. Recently, six members of the Bengal team contracted corona, five of them cricketers, a member of the BCCI tournament team said.
