Omicron increasing internationally! Impact severity in the UK

For the second day in a row, there has been an increase in daily coronavirus exposure across the UK. Yesterday (Thursday, December 16, 2021) 88,376 infections were confirmed.

Professor Chris Witty, the UK’s chief medical officer, says the Omicron variant could rise “incredibly fast”, but says its spread could be reduced due to coronavirus vaccine boosters. The third coronavirus vaccine is being widely used in the UK.

As the Omicron variant grows, the Queen of England’s cancellation of the traditional Christmas award underscores the deplorable state of Omicron distribution in the country.
