The World Health Organization (WHO) says Omicron is spreading faster than the Delta and has already spread to 89 of 89 countries. The World Health Organization therefore warns that the Omicron variant should not be ignored as it does not cause serious infections.
Although the WHO noted that although this variant spreads very rapidly through the delta, it is not as severe, however, Omicron made it clear that people should be vigilant without ignoring the fact that it is a mildly contagious variant.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has urged Southeast Asian countries to adopt preventive measures, such as hygiene and social spacing, and to intensify vaccination.
“The spread of Omicron can be prevented through mask wearing, hygiene and community outreach activities,” said Dr. Poonam Ketrapal Singh, WHO Southern Regional Director.
