Ooty Special Train runs from 17th Sep

Tourists are keen to travel by mountain train between Coimbatore, Mettupalayam to Nilgiris and Ooty.

This year, during the summer season in May, the special mountain train that was run between Mettupalayam-Ooty every week on Saturdays was stopped on the 27th of last month. In this case, from 17th september to 24th October, the special train will be operated again.

Accordingly, it will depart from Mettupalayam at 9:10 AM on Saturday morning and reach Ooty at 2:25 PM; It is scheduled to leave Ooty at 11:25 AM and reach Mettupalayam at 4:20 PM on Sunday morning. Railway officials said, ‘Booking for the special train to be launched on the 17th has been started.
