Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a 12-foot-tall statue of Adisankar at Kedarnath, the holy city of the North.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday unveiled the reconstructed statue of Adi Shankaracharya at the Kedarnath Temple in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district. He also initiated redevelopment projects worth 130 crores in Kedarnath. A 12-foot statue of Adi Shankaracharya was damaged in floods in Uttarakhand in 2013.
Unveiling the statue of Adi Shankaracharya today, Prime Minister Modi said, “You are all witnesses to this event. Devotees of Adi Shankara are full of thoughts here. He said that all the monasteries and Jyotirlingas in the country have joined today.
Prime Minister was accompanied by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and other senior officials during the event.
