PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore gear up to celebrate its foundation day on Friday, August 25.
According to the invitation for the event, the foundation day celebrations will be held in PSG Tech Quadrangle from 10.15 a.m. The event will be presided by Shri. L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing trustee PSG & Sons’ Charities.
PSG college of technology is one of the foremost institutions was first established as PSG industrial Institute in the year 1926 by PSG and Sons Charities in Peelamedu, Coimbatore. The engineering college was started in the institute campus in 1951 by G. R. Damodaran, who became its first principal. The founders wisely decided to locate it in the same campus as the PSG Industrial Institute for effective industry-institute interaction. The college was conferred autonomous status by University of Madras in 1978, which was continued by Bharathiyar University and subsequently by Anna University since 2001.
