PSG College of Technology to celebrate its Foundation Day honouring Distinguished Alumnis
PSG College of Technology was established as PSG Industrial Institute in 1926 by PSG & Sons’ Charities
in Peelamedu, Coimbatore. The Engineering college began operations on the institute’s campus in 1951, under the leadership of its first Principal, Dr. G. R. Damodaran. Today, PSG Institutions are recognized globally for the significant contributions made by their distinguished alumni. The alumni of PSG Institutions are regarded as valuable assets, and PSG & Sons’ Charities takes pride in reconnecting with them by renewing these relationships. Each year, Foundation Day is celebrated to honor the distinguished alumni of PSG College of Technology.
Shri Baba Kalyani will be the chief guest during this event. Shri Baba Kalyani is the Chairman & Managing Director of Bharat Forge Limited and a prominent figure in global business and innovation. He serves on various advisory councils, including the PM-STIAC and international forums such as the US-India CEOs’ Forum. Recognized with prestigious honors like the Padma Bhushan and the Order of the Rising Sun, he is also a leading advocate for defense manufacturing and education. Shri Kalyani holds degrees from BITS Pilani and MIT, USA.
Shri. L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee of PSG & Sons’ Charities, will preside over Foundation Day 2024.
