Kumanan (age 35) hails from Neelikonampalayam, Coimbatore. He has been working as a supervisor in a private company. A text message (SMS) came to his cell phone. He opened the link in it.
Then in a few minutes a call came to his cell phone. The people who spoke to it said that they were in the business of buying and selling medical equipment and that investing in this business would bring in more interest.
The people who spoke up also said that you will get an incentive within 60 days for the money you invest.
Believing this to be true, Kuman sent Rs 12 lakh 95 thousand 185 online as they claimed. But did not pay the extra interest and incentives they claimed. As well as the switch-off was done when they contacted the number they were talking to.
Kumanan came to know about this and lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore Cyber Crime Police. The police on that. They are prosecuting and conducting a serious investigation into the allegations, including fraud.
