The use of plastic materials wastes the nature of the land. So the use of bioplastics is increasing. As an alternative, researchers have developed a coffee cup from salmon sperm that is environmentally friendly.

A team of scientists at Tianjin University in eastern China has created bio-plastic cups by mixing certain chemicals with DNA from salmon sperm. These can be easily recycled and reused. The DNA strands from salmon spores are dissolved in water, mixed with ionomers to form a gel that forms like glue and can be shaped into a variety of shapes. Scientists call this process “aqua-welding”. This gel is dried and made into cups.

This process produces 97 percent fewer carbon emissions than producing polystyrene plastics. Scientists say these are more environmentally friendly than the plastics currently in use. Bio-plastics are made from organic materials such as corn flour, sawdust, and food waste.

Although they are an alternative to plastics, are environmentally friendly Is doubtful? But cups made from the DNA of such sperm are not harmful, and the researchers say they will soon be marketed.
