Sewage flowing down the road into a blockage in an underground sewer

Sewage flooded the road due to a blockage in an underground sewer near the Coimbatore Municipal Police Commissioner’s Office. Motorists suffered greatly as a result. From Coimbatore Gandhipuram to Ukkadam Pullukkadu via Sewerage Nanjappa Road, Avinashi Road, Railway Station.

At this point, there was a blockage near the Uppilipalayam signal in this underpass. Thus the sewage came out of the man landing pit on the road. On learning about this, the health workers came to the spot and repaired the sewer blockage on the instructions of Balachander, the Central Zonal Assistant Engineer of the Corporation.

In this case, the CSI is slightly further away from the site. There was a blockage in the sewer before the Emmanuel Temple. Subsequently, most of the sewage came out of the landing pit. Immediately health workers tried to fix the blockage. But they could not.

The sewage then left the police commissioner’s office, the collector’s office and ran down the road to the police superintendent’s office. This caused a strong stench in the area. Those who rode on two-wheelers suffered severely as tons of vehicles passed by spilt sewage.

Also, trees were placed on the road to prevent vehicles from entering the landfill. Vehicles then veered off the road. Following this, a vehicle to repair the sewer blockage was called. The vehicle then sucked up the sewage and fixed the blockage in the sewer. Thus the sewage coming out of it stopped. Motorists passing by were relieved.
