Sixth Graduation Day at PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research (PSG iTech)
PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research (PSG iTech), Coimbatore celebrated the sixth Graduation Day Ceremony on 21.11.2024 (Friday) at PSG Convention Center. Dr N Saravanakumar, Principal, PSG iTech welcomed the gathering and highlighted the significant achievements made by students and faculty. He stated that PSG iTech serves as an instrument of transformation for the region and nation. While talking about the achievements, he mentioned that students of PSG iTech have been consistently securing top places in the Anna University exams and congratulated all the sixty-eight university rank holders, five gold medalists, and all the 300 graduates of the 2019-23 batches.
Shri L.Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG & Sons’ Charities presided over the function. Dr P V Mohanram, Secretary, PSG iTech administered the graduation day pledge.
Prof T G Sitharam, Chairman, All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) participated as the chief guest and distributed the awards for the graduands. In his commencement address, he congratulated all the graduates for their efforts and parents and teachers for rendering their continuous support to the students in all aspects. While talking about the roles and responsibilities of an engineer in these highly challenging times, he underscored the key skills required to be a successful engineer like passion for work, optimism, hope, and a never-give-up attitude. It was stated that India is a land of opportunities, where the role of engineers is crucial for the development of the nation. He appealed to all the graduates to look for opportunities available in every field and contribute their knowledge and skill for making not only the industry but the country proud in the global market.
Further, he urged the young graduates to dream big and have the self-belief to achieve excellence in their desired field. Especially, he requested the graduates to contribute towards the country’s development through useful product development. Finally, he advised all the engineers to make your vision clear., Deans, Heads of department, faculty and staff members were present during the function
