State Level Conference on “EMOTIONAL WELLBEING- STRATEGIES FOR NURSES” was held on 2.12.2016 at the College Of Nursing, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Coimbatore. More than 300 nurses and students from various hospitals and institutions in and around Coimbatore attended the conference. Dr.T.Nirmala, Principal, College Of Nursing welcomed the gathering. Chief Guest Dr.Jothi Clara Michael, Director-Nursing and Quality, Global Hospitals India, inaugurated the conference. In her inaugural address she said that assertive behavior is the key to increase the self-esteem of nurses.
Followed by the inauguration, Nursing experts from different colleges Prof. Saramma Samuel, Principal, R.V.S. College Of Nursing, Dr.Janey Kemp, Principal, G.K.N.M., College Of Nursing, Dr.Esther John, Principal, Ganga College Of Nursing, Dr.Madhavi, Principal, K,M.C.H. College Of Nursing & Mrs.Sunitha, Nursing Director, Apollo Hospitals, Chennai discussed on the various sub themes of the conference.
The conference came to an end with few tips on self-defense and concluded with the words of gratitude by Prof.S.Girijakumari, Vice Principal, College Of Nursing, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Coimbatore.
