T20 WC – Australia won the match by 5 wickets against South Africa
The World Cup Super 12 tournament started today. South Africa and Australia clashed in today’s match. Australia won the toss, and elected to field first. From the start, the Australian team mixed in bowling.
South Africa stumbled, losing 3 for 23 in the first four overs. Markram blasted 40 off 36 balls. Klaassen 13, Miller 16, Rabada 19 South Africa scored only 118 for 9 in 20 overs. Starc, Hazelwood and Samba took 2 wickets each for Australia.
Chasing an easy target, the Australian team stumbled to take runs. Captain Finch was out for no runs in the 2nd over. The run rate dropped as all the Australian batsmen played casually. It took 18 runs to win the last two overs. It took 8 runs to win the last over to get 11 runs in the 19th over. Stainis, who played well, led the team to victory in 19.4 balls. Australia beat South Africa by 5 wickets in the match.
