Tata Motors is all set to launch a CNG car in Tiago. Tata Motors has released a teaser of the car on its official Twitter page, which is expected to hit the market later this month. In it, customers wait, the game changer of 2022 is coming soon, according to Firemode Dialog.
The showroom price of the car, which will be launched at the end of January, is expected to be around Rs 5.5 lakh. Hyundai’s Santro CNG, Maruti Suzuki’s S-Brazo and Wagon RS-CNG cars are also expected to face stiff competition as Diego’s launch targets the mid-range market. The Diego now in circulation is powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine.
It has 86PS and 113Nm, 5-speed standard and manual option. It is predicted that the car will be released in the CNG model now and will exhibit slightly lower peak power and lower torque capability. At the same time there will be no major change in the list of equipment called accessories.
Viper, digital instrument cluster, 7-inch touchscreen system and 8-speaker Harmon audio system will be present in the CNG just like in the current car. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS, stability control and rear parking sensors.
