The 4 classrooms in Anaimalai Government Girls’ High School were demolished
VRD in Anaimalai, Coimbatore District There is a government girls’ high school. The school has about 40 teachers. A further 1,400 students are enrolled. In this condition, the classrooms built on this school campus about 30 years ago were very dilapidated.
In view of this, a few years ago, the public works department was requested to demolish the buildings on behalf of the school. The district collector recently issued an order to demolish the old school buildings in this condition.
Following this order, demolition work of 4 old dilapidated classrooms at the Government Girls’ School took place yesterday. Those classrooms were demolished and removed by the Bokline machine.
What the school administration said about this: – School classrooms were demolished in the interest of the students. They said new classrooms would be built there soon after the completion of further demolition work.
