Election Flying Corps officials confiscated Rs 10 lakh from a private company owner for taking it to Coimbatore without proper documents. Officers led by Election Flying Squadron Officer Sumathi conducted a search in the Nallampalayam area under the Coimbatore Corporation Northern Zone.
Then they stopped and tested a car that came through. At that time, Rs. 1 lakh 65 thousand 400 was. Authorities immediately asked for documents for the money. But there are no documents.
Subsequent investigations by the authorities revealed that Saravanan, a resident of Saravana, Idayarpalayam, Coimbatore, was running a private company and had taken money to pay employees.
However, the authorities confiscated the money due to lack of proper documents to carry it. The money was then handed over to treasury officials. In this situation Saravanan handed over the documents for the money to the authorities. Officials said the money would be refunded after it was verified.
