Tamil Nadu governor R.N. Ravi has resent the NEET exclusion bill for reconsideration.
Tamil Nadu state legislative assembly has passed the NEET exclusion bill and waited for the Governor’s approval. But, unanticipated, the Governor used his executive powers and returned the bill to the TN speaker to review.
Governor explained that the bill is against the welfare of students and social justice. He highlighted that the legislation has provisions against the principles of Article 46 and Article 47 and 51A (j) of the Indian constitution.
The parties were decided to pass the bill for the second time with majority support in the assembly. In this case, Governor cannot reject or reconsider the bill, and only he can send for the president’s approval.
