The Inauguration Ceremony of New Councilors in Pollachi Municipality
Voting for the urban local government elections in Tamil Nadu was held on the 19th. 151 candidates contested in 36 wards under Pollachi municipality. The counting of votes took place on the 22nd and the results were announced.
In which DMK. 30 seats, the coalition party MDMK. One place, A.D.M.K. 3 seats, Independent won 2 seats. The DMK won a majority of seats was Captured the municipality.
The 36 councilors who contested and won in the municipal wards are due to take office today (Wednesday) at 9.30 am. They are administered the oath of office by Municipal Commissioner Thanumurthy. A pavilion has been set up at the municipal office premises for this purpose.
