Rohit Sharma has been appointed as the new captain of the Indian ODI and T20 squad. The BCCI has appointed Rohit Sharma as the new captain from the one-day series against South Africa to replace Virat Kohli. The BCCI has said that Virat Kohli will continue to captain the Test team.
Before the start of the World Cup, Virat Kohli announced his resignation as the captain of the T20 team. The BCCI has now removed Virat Kohli from the post of ODI captain. The Indian team will always need Virat Kohli as a batsman. With a 50+ average in T20 matches, the goalie is a lion’s share of opposing teams.
Virat Kohli has been instrumental in leading the Indian team to victory in many extraordinary circumstances. Although the captain is not in charge he is still the captain of the Indian team.
There is no other guy to beat his batting prowess. Rohit Sharma said that a great batsman like Virat Kohli cannot be ignored by a team.
