Renders regarding the details of the iPhone 14 Pro Max were leaked earlier this year. It shows the punch-hole camera design. Following the leak, renowned Apple phone analyst Guo announced that Apple plans to replace the old notch design introduced with the iPhone X on the iPhone 14 Pro model with a “punch-hole display design”.
Now, there are new reports that LG and Samsung will be offering punch-hole displays for the iPhone 14 series. According to The Alec, South Korean technology company Samsung will share an order for the 6.7-inch iPhone.
Also, it offers all the aperture-centric panels for the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro. It is Apple’s leading OLED panel supplier. However, the base model iPhone 14 is expected to have a notch style display with a mini variant.
This report brings good news to LG. Previously, LG was unable to place an order from Apple for the iPhone 13 series displays. In addition, the move will benefit Apple. Because of this, Apple’s reliance on Samsung for the display panels of all its flagship smartphones is slightly reduced.
