The main roads in Coimbatore are deserted

The entire curfew is seen on the main roads of Coimbatore without any movement of people.

The Tamil Nadu government has declared a complete curfew to control the disease. Roads in Coimbatore, including Gandhipuram, Railway Station, Town Hall, Lakshmi Mill, Vadakovai, Flower Market, Ramanathapuram and Singanallur are without traffic. Police said the public should not let anyone out unnecessarily.

Police are conducting vehicle checks at more than 30 places in the main road areas of Coimbatore. A total of 14,528 beds have been set up in Coimbatore and government hospitals and 170 micro-contaminants have been detected disinfected and monitored in the area.

The district collector also said that the number of people returning home after treatment is increasing more than the number of people undergoing treatment for the disease.
